The other side of that coin is that many people on eBay have multiple accounts for legitimate reasons. Many users have separate accounts for buying - often private so others don't know what they are buying. I can unto this often over the holiday buying season.

So for every bad reason, there is often a good reason too.

The other side to that is what stops someone from accumulating alot of negative feedback cancelling that account and starting a new one so no one would know that he is a scam artist. Also ebay sends you a notice regarding a fraudulant seller and he still has items for sale on another account doing the same fraudlant activity.

I do know what you mean, and agree that there is a problem. The problem to the problem (uh, well) is that there is that legitimate reason as I stated above. A lot of honest people do it - I do it for that matter. I've had a buying account for a long time. It's an account where I have not shared it with anyone, and don't want to. The reason is two-fold... for one, I've bought items either for resale or as gifts for others. The other is that I have friends who are just nosey enough to look at what I've bought when they are bored and on the computer. I'll hear things like "Hey, that sure was a good deal you got on THAT widget the other night!".

Here is a tip I've used over the years to catch a non-newbie with a newbie account. Look at the payment terms. Does the "new" seller accept PayPal? Does the "new" seller seem to really know what they are doing? Is the auction TOO polished to be someone starting out? This is a key giveaway to someone starting with a new or additional ID.

Of course there are sellers with multiple personalities ;)

I only have one account; probably not smart enough to remember more than one user id. But I know several people with multiple accounts who sell a certain kind of item (like car parts) with one id, and other items (like clothing) with another.

marronwife, do you have an auction number or something so we can tell what your complaint is, exactly?

marronwife  (89 ) View Listings | Report Dec-31-05 20:31 PST 10 of 281
Here are the accounts that I am talking about. my340cuda and mopar3401. Unfortunately, I did not know about mopar3401 before I purchased from this car. They excepted paypal and we even spoke to the wife and husband and everything sounded very honest. A few days after sending the certified check for $6000, the wife calls me telling me that they are a fraud, have screwed many people and she is trying to make good for what her husband has done. We tryed to put a stop payment on the certified check that we sent and unfortunately we could not. We contacted paypal to try to get our $500 deposit charged back but they said we had to wait and send in a complaint to be investigated. The wife gave us phone numbers of several other people who were screwed over so we could verify what she was saying. We did call these people and they said the same thing. The my340cuda account had all positive feedback. When one of the other buyers told us the mopar3401 account that this same seller had we looked and it had several negative feedbacks which have been deleted by ebay because the wife told them someone stole there passwords and they must of taken that bait cause it is all gone. We have used ebay for a few years now and can't beleive that ebay wants nothing to do with this. All they did was send us all a notice stating they are investigating and took all items off ebay for this seller. If you look he still has things for sale.
We have nothing against people with double accounts, its just resently around the holiday we noticed alot of funny stuff going on. We have been screwed bad and the car was delivered to us and was misrepresented badly. The car was wired with speaker wire and we were told the car had brand new wiring through out vehicle. The only thing that was wired were the headlights with speaker wire. The car looks like it was spray paint by can. The pics that were on ebay looked very nice until now you see it up close. The interior needs to be ripped out. We knew it need a new dash pad and rear seat but we were told it had new carpet. Ya it has new carpet but it is house carpet not car carpet. I can go on forever cause there are several other things that the seller told us it had and they were all lies. What can we do to stop this from happening. What can I Do to get my money back? Can someone help? Any ideas?

So you got the car, but you are just not happy with it, CORRECT?

marronwife  (89 ) View Listings | Report Jan-01-06 07:38 PST 12 of 281
correct. car was grossly misrepresented. new exhaust does not mean 2 feet of pipe and two mufflers with no over the axle or tail pies.new carpet does not mean household carpet. no rot or rust means no rot or rust. it was bondo and painted over. new wiring does not mean wires running outside the car to a toggle switch and a button to start the car.no lights or gauges work. i tried to start the car yesterday to move it and the make shift wiring melted because it coldnt handle the current flowing through it. thats is just for starters. 6500 hundred dollar car thats not worth 2000.

You gambled at the casino and lost! You know darned well that a nice older Cuda is going to bring a lot more than $6,500.

You get what you paid for, you tried to save 3 cents by buying a rough old cobb and you lost. Plain and simple.

Next time, pay decent money for one that is in good condition. Do, however, expect to pay 4x what you spent on that cobb.

No one feels sorry for you here.

I am not going to defend or deface anybody... I assume you are talking about the Challenger?

I hear private owners talking about their cars all the time. "Yea, I just put a new starter, brakes, alternator and such." When in fact NEW may have been used from a salvage yard, brakes might be the $12.99 pads from Autozone without turning the rotors, packing the bearings, just slapping pads on it. "JUST" might have been two years ago.

I am sorry you are unhappy with your purchase. I have more than 400 cars deals done sold and delivered on eBay. Does that make me an expert? No! It does make me knowledgeable though. I have purchased 4 vehicles on eBay.
I was only completely thrilled with one of them. Did I inspect any of them? No! Inspection is the key... You can quote me on this.. "If you don't inspect, you can not reject!"

What one person sees is not necessarily what another person sees. When you buy a USED CAR that is what you will usually get. NOT NEW! USED! Sometimes used means, wore out, rusted, repainted, broken, or previously abused.

This is another reason I sell mine as parts! 99.5% of my customers are happy. The other .5% I couldn't have helped no matter what I said, did or sold.

Assuming you are talking about that Challenger... A pristine used car like you were hoping to get delivered to your driveway would have set you back around $20k or $30k dollars.

Again I am sorry you think you were cheated or ripped off. But like so many of these deals, INSPECTION, INSPECTION, INSPECTION is the key.

tony1963  (419 ) View Listings | Report Jan-01-06 11:13 PST 15 of 281
Oh come on...pays $6500 for a "classic" and wants it to be new.

We have heard about 1,634 of these stories. To date, none have paid fair market value for their "treasurers" either.

dogthebountyhunter  (54 ) View Listings | Report Jan-01-06 11:51 PST 16 of 281
I agree... I think they paid about what it was worth. I am still sorry that they are unhappy with their purchase. I am sorry that anyone is unhappy when they buy online. I was at the auction the other day and was stopped by a couple a dealers that have big used car super stores. They said, "Your that eBay guy, aren't you?" They said that they had not had good luck selling on eBay. I told them I was sorry to hear that. I asked them what they had been trying to sell and how was their feedback. Anything they took in on trade. Hmm Feedback? Seems they had none... Just opened an account and started listing stuff. This is not rocket science, but it is something you have to put many hundreds of hours and dollars in. These same guys have RADIO and TV commercials that they spend thousands on with the hopes of moving a hand full of units. I would say that only the strong will survive here.

Just to let you know this car was not a cuda or challenger. It is a coronet not a high dollar car. I did understand that I was not receiving a mint condition car, I knew i was going to have to spend some money to restore. What I am angry at is I am not the only person this ebayer has done this too and I was told on the phone that parts were "Brand" new not used. Car was advertised with certain items and pictures, when car arrived at my door said items were not with or on car. Before you make any rude comments "tony" read the last message left and you should see that I was "GROSSLY" MISREPRESENTED. I appreciate all comments and I am looking to see what we could do regarding this matter since there are 4 of us who got screwed the same way. I have purchased cars on ebay before with no problem. What this ebayer has done is fraud and something should be done about it. He is one bad apple that will ruin it for the rest. He is still selling on ebay and there will probably be another UNHAPPY CUSTOMER. LIES, DECEIT AND DECEIVE ARE NOT SOMETHING THAT A PERSON IS LOOKING FOR WHEN PURCHASING ANY ITEMS FOR ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY.

No its not over 90 days, we just purchased the car a week before christmas. I am stumped over the whole situation and I do realize that we have been taken. Like I said before we knew we weren't buying a car in mint condition but we did expect the car to be in the shape as described to us in the discription and via telephone conversation we had before purchasing the car. And like I said before "This ebayer will ruin it for all of the rest". What else can we do to stop this from happening to another and how can I get a refund?

That is kind of odd that the auction number disapeared. Has the sellers account been suspended? Did he leave feedback for you OR you for him? Have you contacted the seller? Do you have any pictures of the car? I'd kind a like to see it?

We have tried to contact the seller regarding the paperwork for the car, left messages and sent emails, with no luck. I would love to send you the pics but as I said above it has disappeared (I think by ebay)and I can't access the id #. I am going to take pictures of the car as it sits now and I am hoping I can retreive the pics somehow so I can use them. I have a police report and I am waiting for the paperwork before I can do anything else. Possibly interstate fraud. Go to the news if I have to and then ebay will really have their hands full. Do you know of a phone # to contact anyone at ebay regarding this matter?

RS, There is no back door to view listings over 90 days old. Over yonder somewhere is a link to leave feedback over 90 days.. Think it is on that 73 Lincoln page where i had a war with a Postal Worker from hell!

Only way a listing would be removed by eBay is if the seller claimed his acct was hijacked. Might want to search over yonder for that sellers id.

Judging from the OP's story, that seller could be a smooth operator and told eBay his acct was hijacked and it was no his car! Good sneaky way to get rid of the evidence! A so called buddy of mine did that to get a full refund from eBay for a car that did not sell.. eBay just removed the listing and credited his sellers acct with a full refund!

I'm with the OP on this one.. Private sellers lie too! OP do you have the winning item e-mail from eBay?

Ok.. Here is what you need to do..

Forward that message to [email protected] and CC it to [email protected] Explain the situation with the seller and you have not received the title.

I assume you have not received title to the vehicle yet by the comment about no paperwork yet? Anyway you need to file for the buyers protection program for no title received. Not sure how this will work with the item being removed from eBay..

I will send Ewan a link to this thread.. He is a good guy and will help you with this unfortunate situation.

It's late.. I'm signing off for the night.. Good Luck :)

"Just to let you know this car was not a cuda or challenger. It is a coronet not a high dollar car."

"69 coronet superbee pictures picture page only"

OOPS! You try to make us think this is a plain jane Coronet, when it is in fact a highly desireable SUPER BEE????? Super Bees are VERY HIGH dollar cars!

The latest (February 2006)Old Cars Price Guide values for a 69 Coronet are as follows:
#1 condition: $37,000
#2 condition: $25,900
#3 condition: $16,650
#4 condition: $ 7,400
#5 condition: $ 4,440
#6 condition: $ 1,480

From your description, the car is probably between a #4 and a #5, so the price you paid ($ 6,500)is in line with published values of Super Bees.

I'm not defending seller here at all, but don't try to snow us with talk that this is a low-buck Coronet. It's a Super Bee for crying out loud.

This post was removed because dividing by zero is not possible.

It you take the square root of an imaginary number, subtract 3(pi) from that number, multiply by (-1), the answer to what has happened is clear.

Just a reply to Arkie, first of all I don't care how much other 1969 coronet superbees are valued at. This is not an excuse for representing any car for something it really isn't. We were told this car had a electronic ignition and it has points. We were told it had no rust or rot, no dings or dents, the car is full of bondo and there are dents all over the place. There were several, several more items that we were told the car had and non of them were true. Like I said in many more responses, we did not expect a brand new car and we did expect to put some money into it but we did not expect a pile of garbage. If you purchased this car and were told the things we were you would be just as angry. So comments like yours are worthless. Think about it.

j-ainc  (66 ) View Listings | Report Jan-02-06 11:03 PST 42 of 281
From what you are saying! Your opinion of the condition, And his opinion of the condition are only your individual opions. Both of you are looking at the same vehicle and seeing from opposite sides. He is seeing it from the sellers point, His only down is he exaggerated the good points and your only problem is you expected far more than you paid for!

"We were told this car had a electronic ignition and it has points" Actually point break an electrical current, So it is correct to say it is electrnic ignition.

"We were told it had no rust or rot, no dings or dents, the car is full of bondo and there are dents all over the place." Well, I guess the rust and rot was repaired by all the bondo

"we did expect to put some money into it but we did not expect a pile of garbage" Well you're in luck because you get exactly what you wanted! To invest $$$ into your project car.

All of this could have been avoided with a preinspection of the car! Anything after the fact is just whinning!

The OP has come here and pulled his pants down around his ankles with this whole issue. Frankly, he knows that a clean car like this will fetch more than $6500. He needs to watch "Barrett-Jackson" once in a while.

I say let him lay in his own bed that he made.

Enough said. This post is a dead horse.

Hey Tony, being in the used car business, riddle me another theorem. When you sell a car on EBAY do you send the title before you get paid. I doubt it. Regardless of the he claims she claims. There is still no supporting documentation for the (title or if a non title state a registration certificate, bill of sale etc.)and no response from the seller. The car was paid for in full. Is this how you do business or just the unscrupulous ones?

Now that the Holidays are behind you! give him another try! Our post service is at best poor during these annual events!

Since we do not have the luxury of looking at the auction, We do not know what was stated about the title!

But a bill of sale is always exceptible! No matter where you live possesion is 9/10 of the law.

I have not heard back from Ewan yet, but he is probably off today being it is a holiday..

Tony, you may sell a quality well serviced vehicle, but ridiculing another person over a problem transaction makes you look REAL BAD!

I would think you would like to be respected and accepted for the knowledgeable reputable person you are, not some JERK that likes to run others down to boost your own self made ego! You owe this person an apology!

And the same goes for anyone else that agrees with him! Put yourself in the other persons shoes and see how they feel!!

tony1963  (419 ) View Listings | Report Jan-02-06 14:50 PST 49 of 281
Doc always makes me feel bad for acting up. Geez.

I guess what bothers me is that when you buy an older classic car, unless it is fully restored, expect problems. I'm not talking about 10, 15 or 20 year old models, I'm talking about 30+ years of age.

Not many people have the resources to keep that kind of stuff in good condition. Accordingly, when they are being sold for the kind of bargain-basement price that the OP paid, there are bound to be problems, lies, etc.

No, I don't condone misrepresenting an item. But, people have got to be more careful when buying this old stuff.

Myself, I am planning a trip to Carlisle PA in April 2006 to buy a classic. I will inspect it myself and already have hired someone to inspect my vehicle of choice.

I'd not be willing to buy one of these classics on eBay because everyone's definition of "restored" is different.

However, I do sell some of the nicest cars in the South, if I do say so myself.

j-ainc, people sell things on ebay all the time, people buy things on ebay all the time, when you purchase something thousands of miles away and you inspected the photos and spoke to the seller on the phone several times, you expect to get what was advertised. A pre inspection is normally out of the question when things are being sold miles away. Are you stating that almost every ebay buyer deserves to get screwed over because they did not inspect. Please, how inmature. We paid for something that was grossly misrepresented and got screwed royally without a kiss first. No paperwork has been received on said vehicle either. I should post all your comments on your sites so other buyers know how you feel about people getting screwed, I would never purchase from you knowing that you could care less when people pay for something and get something else. People like you ruin it for other sellers.
You would think that other sellers who are selling vehicles on ebay would be mighty pissed that someone else is doing bad buisness on ebay, ruinning it for the trustworthy and legitmate sellers. Tony, you should know what I mean.
Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinions but come on, when someone purchases a vehicle that claims to have new carpet and when they get it, it has outside green grass carpeting, that is rediculous. (another car seller sold to someone else)
Tony you are correct this is a dead horse, we thought opening this blog would of gotten help from others who really care about their ebay business. The news is going to love hearing this story and when ebay can no longer allow people to sell cars what are you all gonna do. Remember there are four of us that we know of who have been screwed by the same guy. Interstate fraud is illegally, Misleading and falsefying vehicle information is also illegal. Read the following...
FAIR TRADE ACT
This section sets out your rights if the seller or vehicle manufacturer has provided you with misleading or false information about the vehicle.

Fair Trading Act
The Fair Trading Act is breached if any person in trade provides you with misleading or false information about the vehicle. For example, the information could be in the form of an advertisement, notice or sign with the vehicle or a statement made by the trader.
A person in trade includes motor vehicle traders (registered or unregistered), importers, wholesalers, vehicle auctioneers and car market operators, or anyone selling a motor vehicle in the course of a business.

All information about the vehicle must be correct and must not be misleading.

AS YOU CAN SEE I AM DOING MY HOMEWORK....THIS EBAY SCREWED THE WRONG PERSON. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR COMMENTS AND I WISH ALL OF YOU LUCK. I AM AN HONEST EBAYER AND WISH THAT ALL OF YOU WHO WROTE RUDE COMMENTS CAN TAKE YOUR BLINDFOLD OFF AND SEE THE TRUTH.

I bet the seller told eBay someone hijacked the account and eBay pulled it.. There is no other logical reason.

It would need a Title in Florida.. I don't care how old it is..

There is a Weasel in the wood pile somewhere.. I can just smell it.. And i'm usually right with my suspicions!

The vehicle is probably beyond the scope of what can be done by eBay's Trust and Safety. I believe that rust and/or mileage are not covered on any vehicle past 20 years of age.

It's too bad that the seller lied. If it is as bad as you say, you should sue.

LIKE I SAID YOU DID NOT BELEIVE IN THE BEGINNING AND YOU SAW THROUGH, WE THANK YOU AND HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL SUCCESSFUL 2006 YEAR. WE WOULD PURCHASE FROM YOU ANY DAY. THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL YOU HELP.
TONY, I KNEW YOU WERE NICER THAN YOU CLAIMED TO BE. I DO REALIZE THERE ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO ARE HARD TO PLEASE, WE AREN'T THOSE PEOPLE. WE DID REALIZE THAT THE CAR WAS OLDER AND NEEDED SOME RESTORING. BUT WHEN SOMEONE REPRESENTS IT AS "BEING SOLD AT THIS PRICE SO OUR CHILDREN CAN HAVE CHRISTMAS" AND TELLS US THAT IT HAS A BRAND NEW MUFFLER (SELLER OWNS A MUFFLER SHOP), CAR HAS NO MUFFLER, NO WIRE HARNESS....CAR STARTS WITH A TOGGLE SWITCH CONNECTED TO A MONSTER SPEAKERWIRE TO BATTERY, AS YOU KNOW I CAN GO ON FOREVER BUT I WON'T. WE PLAN ON SUING. BUT EBAY ALSO NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SELLER WHO HAS SEVERAL EBAY ACCOUNTS.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE AND THANKS

As I stated in my previous post, I am not defending the seller in any way. Gross misrepresentation (as opposed to differences of opinion) hurt everyone on eBay.

All I did was list the current values of a Super Bee, which is how the Coronet was identified in the letter from eBay to the winning bidder. However, even a Coronet 500 is pretty valuable, and clones bring good money nowadays.

As Doc said, you can get them with lack of title/paperwork.

As the auction ended the week before Christmas, the seller does have some time to get the paperwork to you.

Since you think my comments are worthless, here's one of yours that is: "Go to the news if I have to and then ebay will really have their hands full." I don't think so, but let us know when it gets on the news.

You may think that my comment about the news is worthless, but here in connecticut we do not fair kindly to people taking advantage of us.
Below as I printed in my other message is from the fair trade practices act on misleading/false information on motor vehicles law. This is also a federal law. I will not just sit and allow this to go on.

FAIR TRADE ACT

This site's reputation is already shot!

The cost of inspections are up to around 100.00 or better. To pay for an inspection before bidding is cost prohibitive.. It further drives down the amount one will bid on a car.

Folks already are afraid of being taken on this site as it is! I guarantee you I would not chance buying a car from someone i did not know, and i would not toss a ben franklin to an inspector either!

Inspections never used to be needed! Sellers were honest and so was 99% of everyone on eBay! Those days are gone forever it seems.. And the chances of any major media doing a hatchet job on this site are slim to none! Most higher ups hold some amount of eBay stock in their portfolio's and would never risk having their shares loose value! It's all about money!!

Since starting on eBay in 1999 long before eBay Motors was hatched, i have seen it loose it's trust and slowly slide down hill! It is just what it is.. And nothing Less or More! You use it at your own risk.. The Odds Are Against You!! Both Selling and Buying!!

I've been coming to this board for several years, and I've learned a lot from those who post here. One of the things I've learned is that many, many people have tried going to the media about fraud, misrepresentation, etc. on eBay, and the media has pretty much ignored it. Whenever the media does a story on eBay, it's usually a little fluff piece featuring Meg telling the world how wonderful eBay is.

Reality, as you have found out, is different. I don't doubt at all that you will try to go the media with your situation, and I hope they actually do an investigative story. I applaud you for trying; it's the media about which I have my doubts. Someone getting ripped off on eBay is so commonplace anymore that it's not news.

Has anyone else here noticed that Tony runs off at the mouth without ever reading the entire post that he claims to be replying to? Hmm, almost seems that he just likes to hear himself talk (type). Justifying a scumbags actions makes you a scumbag yourself. I saw the original add, the pics were gorgeous and the seller grossly misrepresented the car. The fact is, the car is a pile of garbage. I know this because two other potential buyers went to see the car and walked away vomiting. This is not a case of someone not getting what they expected. This is a case of someone posting pics that were not of the actual car for sale. Of course it's not going to be a mint Superbee for 6500 bucks. I think Marronwife clearly understood that. The fact of the matter is that this guy is a dirtbag, this was not his first time doing this, he has made a business out of selling garbage on Ebay, this is clear by the negative feedback left on his original ID. I don't live far from him ,I may pay the scumbag a visit and tell him what I think of him, I'm good like that. As for you Tony, you carry yourself like a typical used car salesman, you have made an ass out of yourself here, you lose, you get nothing, good day sir.

We get so many of those dreamers that wire money overseas for a show car pictured up by scammers. It is easy for me to criticize someone so foolish as to think they could buy a 20k car for 4800 and get free shipping to boot!

This deal here i opened my mouth without investigating, I did not see the listing and photos, but i am taking the buyers side!

I guarantee you i could list a car from friends house and later claim my account was hijacked and somebody listed this car in my name.. We all know how inept eBay support is, they have a matter of seconds to investigate and make a decision. They look at the listing in question and find it was listed from an AOL IP and all my other activity is from my static cable IP! Listing removed and the fees are credited to my account! What a way to scam someone!!

I don't hide behind "posting ID's" like some of the "ladies" here, I stand out and say what is on my mind. Basically, because I can and it is my right.

While some wear pink panties and hide behind posting ID's, I've always been candid. People respect my position when we have a discussion on something where I actually add something, but, when I act a fool, they understand, too.

Today I feel like acting like a fool. I can afford it.

It doesn't matter if Mopars, Volvos, Yugos or Maybaches are your cup of tea...when it comes to cars, common sense is common sense. I think that reading some of the posts around here shows that some people have it and some don't.

Those that don't usually are the ones who get taken advantage of. I've bought several cars (some for myself and some for resale), a dually and my RV on eBay and used common sense each time. I have not been dissappointed yet.

I like to think that my eBay customers use common sense as well. The ones that buy usually ask intelligent questions and do their homework. To my knowledge, none have been dissapointed with their purchases. Most are happier than they expected to be.

When you start ignoring the warning signs in search of a deal that is too good to be true, that is when you are ripe to be taken advantage of.

I would never buy a car from someone I didn't know without an inspection. Sometimes opinions just differ. I don't buy cars here because the sellers I trust are so far away from me that so far, I don't have the cash to buy and ship the type of stuff they have.

Sounds like you did a lot of the right things. I agree with Doc that the auction probably got pulled because they claimed they were hijacked.

File your claim for no title and hopefully you'll be able to recover at least some of your money.

Hopefully the car won't cost you too much to do what you want if you can't get the seller to take it back. So many sellers aren't very honest and they hurt all of those who are.

Tony can be an a** but I'd still buy a car from him.

Then the ball was in your court as to wether you chose to GAMBLE on the condition of this car, Or pass it by for one you could go look at.
"Are you stating that almost every ebay buyer deserves to get screwed over because they did not inspect." No, I did not state that they should be, But I did say that the possibility Was there for you to be taken advantage of unless you personally or had an inspection done!
"Please, how inmature." When you make ASSumptions, that shows your maturity level.
"We paid for something that was grossly misrepresented and got screwed royally without a kiss first." This is still he said/She said, There is no proof that you have brought to the table to substantiate your claims! Please do not get me wrong I do not disbelieve your claim. Because this happen here everyday. But there is still no proof for us to look at and draw an intelligent conclusion as to what took place. Did you by chance cut and paste a copy of the auction? {grasping at straws}. When Ewan responds ask him to post a copy of the auction for us! He might. He does appreciate this board and the ones who try to help!

thanks doc, I just tried to file a claim with squaretrade, which was the instructions I received from and email I received from ebay. The only thing is that becasue the auction has been deleted, I can't file the claim.

I also just received a call from the seller and they claim everything was with the car when shipped and the trucking company probably took it. Amazing how others have had the same problem and all of a sudden the trucking company is at fault. They said we should be happy we even got a car be happy with it.

I also contacted the phenix alabama police department and I am awaiting a phone call.

Hopefully something can be done about this

This one is going to be really interesting. The listing was removed because the acct was compromised.. So..

Did the owner of the acct let someone (a friend perhaps) use it? Or did the acct holder sell the vehicle and pull a fast one on eBay? Obviously Someone sold the OP a car..

You can bet there is a behind the scenes investigation going on now by eBay.. Someone's butt is going to be in the sling!

The car came from a physical street address. Start with whoever is there.

The OP claims 4 others have been unhappy with a transaction. What's that all about?

The sellers wife called us a few days after the transaction, very upset, she said that she was trying to make good on the sale of a few vehicles (including the coronet we purchased)her husband had taken over 13,000 from ebay members who purchased from him and received cars that were in terrible shape. She told us that the coronet was sold to someone in florida named dennis and gave us his phone number, this person was able to go look at car and lost his 500 dollar deposit because car was a pile of garbage. Everything that was advertised and told to us on the phone was a lie. She also gave us a phone number of two other buyers for a fury that was also a pile of garbage. One lost 500 dollar deposit and the other lost 4500 dollars. We tried to put a stop payment on our 6000 dollar certified check and we could not we also tried to put a stop payment on our paypal deposit and we could not. We had no other choice but to have the car picked up by a trucking company and delivered to us. Now the wife denies calling us but how else would we know all this information. The car was delivered to us saturday and she was correct it is not what we purchased far from it. Now we are stuck trying to fight for our rights as a consumer. He has violated the fair trade practices act and Has also not sent us the title, copy of registration and bill of sale which we need to register this car in connecticut. After all of this how do we know the car wasn't salvaged, in a flood or bad accident. Sellers wife called and left a obscene phone message using the F word several times. This has gotten bad and I really hope ebay will do something. A police report has been filed with our local department, I contacted a attorney, contacted phenix police department and alabama consumer protection department. I am not playing with them.

I may of above made a mistake when I told you the two ebay accounts this seller had, I am not positive if mopar3401 is one of them. I was given this information from the sellers wife but now she states it is not one of the accounts. When I find out for sure I will let you all know. I apologize if I was wrong for stating mopar3401 was one of the ebay accounts for this ebayer if its not

In my opinion you might want to give ebay and the police a little time before you spend too much money on an attorney. This deal might finally be going your way.

thanks to the ebay member who alerted me as to whats going on here, as to marronwife, i do not have 5 accts. my acct has not been suspended and i had a acct takeover heres what really happened i listed 2 cars they had a non refundable deposit, both buyers didnt buy and got mad because i wouldnt give deposit back then i relisted both and both sold while the first guy who didnt buy started a big stink got into my acct and and contacted other members, got their info and answered disputes i had filed against himself and the other nonpaying bidder for the final value fee dispute them left feedback positive for himself and other person, ebay pulled everything because i had a acct takeover, i spoke with marronwife on the phone and told him the onlys thing wrong with car was body, it had a 200 paint job at maaco on it, now marronwife claims things are missing off car and they were lied to, wrong! a reply from them says on this post the car has no mufflers thats a lie per our conversation yesterday now she realizes it does it doesnt have tailpipes, i didnt want tailpipes on the car, the pictures show no tailpipes on it, now they say the car wont run,but at the same time they say it doesnt have positive traction, if it doesnt run how do you know it doesnt have positive traction, the car was running perfect when it left here the tarnsporter loaded it on the trailer i was actually on the phone with the buyer and said you here the car in the background running there loading it now, i do not know who mopar3401 is and i dont know why that person was brought into this, these people didnt buy a show car but if the cars in such bad shape why do they state that the car would make a nice car, i sold exactly what i stated in ad, and it is what it is a darn good start to a nice car i didnt sell it at the price of a high end mint condition car at the price of 16-20,000 but if you get one for 6500.00 and put 2,000 in it its just as nice as the 16-20,000 cars you say the car doesnt have positive traction i never said it did i said it was limited slip, sometimes it is sometimes it isnt, i believe my ad also stated that you are more than welcome to hire a independent person to inspect the car before buying, as far as paperwork i mailed it last thursday, lets do the math it probably went out friday because it was late in the afternoon so how many days does it take to get from alabama to connecticut, factor in the holidays that the mail didnt run, now as far as title alabama is a state that anything under a 1975 doesnt have to have title bill of sale only and buyr was told this, they say they were a nontitled state also, check it out dont take my word alabama dept. of transportation website this is all bull people expect more than they paid for they got every pennies worth and more, anyone is welcome to check to see if my acct is suspended never has been! AND THANKS WANDRN for letting me know this now im contacting mopar3401 to let him know i just really want to know how he got into this.oh and by the way paypal also sided with me after both first nonpaying bidders tried to get there 500 nonrefundable deposit back and refused there complaint, nonrefundable means nonrefundable like ad states you bid you enter into a contract to buy or you will pay me for my time and aggrevation, and ill file nonpaying bidder, IT STILL STANDS OUT IN MY HEAD MARRONWIFES STATEMENT IT WILL MAKE A NICE CAR, ITS BEEN DESCRIBED AS SUCH A PIECE OF CRAP SO FAR WHICH IS IT

i didnt say someone stole acct and sold car i said, that someone stole acct and used it to respond to other members etc., this was a day after the listing ended that this happened, then he contacted people and did all kinds of stuff on my acct. as far as why you cant see the listings i dont know i cant either ive spent so much time with live help im tired of trying if ebay had a actual phone number a person you could talk to it would be different, i never told ebay that he sold the car using my acct. i dont know why it cant be accessed i cant access it, its funny to me that they removed the listings but not the feedback that they used my acct to give thereselves im disputing that with ebay now, you know ebay plays alot in the roll if you have a problem you have to go through 20 people you never get what you want to say because you have to use a webform you cant send attachments through the webform or atleast i dont know how, why not just have a email address available use your own email acct. and server to send it and attach all your info.? or a phone number? since i have less than 10 feedback i can only respond to 5 more replies. i never told ebay i didnt list the cars . i told them each time i contacted them the exact same thing i told here. and thats the exact same thing that happened. it seems here that no one wants to get to the truth what are the major problems with the car? why has marronwife stated major problems yet only complains about carpet and toggle switch? why didnt they mention that to me? no the onlys complaint i got from them was yesterday well after this link was started. the transporter didnt get the car from here until last the 28th, wed. last week so im sure they didnt get the car til atleast the 31st sat. it seems to me this post started before they even got the car or if not they just had got it and hadnt had time to check anything out, and as i write this i read the thread she started says they sell cars and junk parts, ive never sold a car part on ebay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!what acct is it i have a really bad name on ebay with and wheres this other acct i have. it aint mopar3401 have no idea who that is. im going to invite a fellow ebay member to join this here and let him give you a description of the car he seen it heard it run, is aware of the way it was when i got it, and what all i did to it, he lives in a town about 15 miles away and stops by here alot hes a mopar nut also. it makes me mad not another ebay member has been brought into this mopar3401, and ive let him have this link and hope he joins, people should really think before getting on a keyboard and naming names before they know what did someone just pull a search with mopar and alabama and assume that since there was a person with similarities that that was my mysterious other acct. marronwife can you yet give proof to these other accts. i have? no!why? they dont exist. and know it keeps going through my head when do i sell car parts? prove that? show me one ive sold. cant!you know you can buy a camaro mustang other muscle cars but mopars are worth alot more, and alot harder to find and worth alot more money. i have a 70 hemi cuda,a 73 340 6pack 4 speed cuda, a 69 440 r/t charger,a 71 r/t challenger down to every nut and bolt matching number,69 real superbee 440 4 spd.,a 72 3404 spd demon, those are just my babies have alot more that i could care less about, the ones i could care less about end up on ebay.i own my business and have had my business for over 25 years, i have more business than i can handle and you dont get that from scamming people. i have brand new cars and dont drive these cars everyday but i do make sure they run drive all lights work, the motors are good and transmissions are good that the interior all matches that is has good looking wheels and tires and has a new paint job. you almost always have to redo the brakes on all these mopars and the one in question here has new brakes down to the brake switch under the pedal. if they got such a bad deal show new another one at the same price, or part it out, a 1969 383 hp motor runs as good as that one w/ cam 4 barrel is worth all day long $2000.00 transmission about 250-350 depends 8 3/4 rearend and axles $1000.00 break all the parts down door panels grill assemblies, interior, new exhaust less tailpipes,i bought the body for $2000.00 and it was bare no interior no motor trans, or even a dash, or taillights, theres no rust in the floor pans, the quarters werent rusted out. the trunk wasnt rusted. and yes i will leave long responses like this because my responses are limited on here. im about to have a stroke over all this nonsense and i better get it all out before im paralyzed and cant type anymore. but im inviting larry57savoy here and well see what he says

I'm clueless about who is telling the truth. It's all he says, she says and nothing, not even an auction.

maybe marronwife is scared now that truth came out or has to wait to come up with another good one, funny lots of responses until i responded, or maybe if were all lucky shes researching and getting the proof of what shes said, like the car parts i sell, or finding my other accts. or who knows but if shes looking for those things we wont hear back for a long time they dont exist!you see people start posts and think the other party wont find out and ramble on and whine and compalin but luckily someone let me in on this, you know can she give you a email she sent to me complaining about the car. no she never called and complained never sent me a email until monday night when i was sent this link and i called a left a message on the answering machine, and then yesterday husband called and she left me a email stating i called her etc.but no responses or calls dated 12/30 when she started this post or any other days until i left the message when i found out about this post, and now that im responding shes not.back up your complaints with emails phone records something because i can on what went on with my acct i save live help transcripts and emails. she never contacted me complaining about anything until i found the link! complaining to yall isnt gonna do any good if there really was a problem why didnt she contact me on 12/30/05 at 7:12 pm on anytime before i found the link, can she get proof from transport she had already recieved the car when she left this post, i dont feel like they got it that soon i feel it would have been the 31st sometime. she sent one email about bill of sale and that the onlys contact she had since the day i called saying transports here getting car now, and i called her,if im a scam why would i have cared to call and let them know? if im a scam why would i give these people my business phone number, my home phone number and my cell phone number?why would i run up my phone bill calling them? the truth is the truth and the truth will always be the truth, the truth doesnt stretch or bend or contain colors such as white. now a lie has many names. i dont lie or scam people and i always have proof to back me up. i have now blocked these people out of my email and each response they leave me will have to go through ebay where there are records.

Yeah, rs, in today's market, it sure is. Reminds me of the post a couple of years ago from the woman who bought one of H. Luis' 67 Corvette Coupes, "fully restored," for about $6,500. She knew her husband's favorite car was a 67 coupe, and when she found one on eBay at a BIN price she could afford, she hit the button, sent her money and came here after the fact.

eBay really needs to have a required tutorial before people are allowed to bid for vehicles.

Then buyer can take some pics of the car and post them here, so the eBay Motors junkies like myself can compare.

It's hard to know what's true when evidence is so totally lacking.

Just to let you mopar3401 is not related in anyway to my340cuda. I spoke with mopar3401 today on the phone and everything is fine. He is a very nice guy and not out to rip anyone off. He has been a longtime seller on ebay. He sells parts for cars and as you all know I need alot so he will be getting my business and I hope everyone will take a look at what he has available. Ebayers like him make ebay a wonderful place.
Thank you mopar3401 for understanding that I made a mistake mentioning your name in this disscussion thread. When I am wrong I am not afraid to admit it.

Now on to the next part.....

Finely, a response from the seller. Tried contacting seller, yesterday, he hung up three times on me like a baby. So if this is where you would like to air your dirty laundry, lets have at it.
We will start at the very beginning.

December 16th, called seller to ask questions regarding the car before I hit the BIN. Asked seller about the rearend, told me that it was a 355-sure grip. Asked questions regarding motor, seller told me that it ran good and smooth. Asked seller about overall condition of car, he told me that the car was all rewired. Told me that it did not have an expensive paint job but it looked decent. I knew the car needed a headliner, backseat and dashpad. Seller said car had new carpet. Told the seller that I needed the Bill of Sale, Title or copy of registration. They said OK. Sounded like nice, honest people on the phone. Felt satisfied with what I heard so then I hit the BIN.

I arranged for a cashiers check to be overnighted on December 17th in the amount of $6000. I placed a $500 deposit immediately with paypal. Everything was fine.

Monday, December 19th, I spoke with Stanley at his muffler shop because he received the cashier's check and he told me that it was going to take 5 to 7 days to clear. Which he seemed kind of upset about. I have no control over what the banks do and apologized to him.

Later that evening, his wife calls my house pretending to be someone else. Telling me that the car was a hunk of crap. That the car is not worth the money and hangs up. Twenty minutes later she calls back. Still pretending to be someone else. Gives me three phone numbers, (1) for George, (1) for Dennis and (1) for Andy (candelux). Told me to call these guys because they lost money on the clone and fury. I called George. George was going to buy the Fury. Put $500 deposit via paypal on it. Drove to go pick up car. He sees the car and realizes that the car is a pile of crap and not as described. Refuses to purchase car. George and I spoke, he tells me that the wife just called him. He tells me that it is his wife. George and I hang up and Five minutes later, she calls. I say hello, Katrina. She asks how I know its her. I tell her that George told me. She continues to tell me, that her husband allegedly beat her up, hes at the shop and shes at home calling all these people. I know that she calls George, Andy and myself. Shes crying on the phone saying her husband will kill her if he finds out what shes doing. She tells me that her husband has scammed alot of people and shes trying to make it right on her conscious.

She tells me her husband allegedly changes vin numbers on cars in there shop yard. I tell her I am calling my local police department. She really starts crying harder. Shes asking me to please not involve her and hangs up. But what she does not realize I recorded the whole conversation. Which was turned over to our local police department along with my report.

As far as her account being taken over, it was taken over because she gave candelux her password. She offered it to me if I wanted it. I am not stupid I did not take it. I have spoken to candelux on the phone and she gave him the password. Thats why their account was compromised.

Seller if your going to tell a story, tell the whole story.

Talked to owner of Fury. Bought car made it exactly 1 mile up the road and broke down. Called the seller for help and they would not answer phone. According to the conversation.

Dennis, bought the bee clone. Paid $500 deposit via paypal. Went to pick up car. He saw the car, which it wasn't as described. That is why he put claim in which paypal and he did not buy the car.

That explains why two buyers backed out and two buyers got screwed. All have complaints with ebay.

Katrina, calls me back December 19th, one more time. I tell her police are on there way. I am filing a report and I am going to try to stop the cashiers check and deposit on paypal.

Went to the bank next morning and they told me that I could not stop payment on cashiers check. Paypal also told me that I had to wait at least 3 days.

Sorry, these are so long but this is how it needs to be told, since seller will not take phone calls.

All my dealings with sellers wife were recorded, with phone records to back them up. George also recorded their conversations.

On Saturday, December 31st, I received the car. To answer her question about starting the post on december 30, this was because of the above conversations with sellers wife. I knew I was in trouble and wanted to start finding out ways to get help due to the conversations with sellers wife.

I could not do anything with the car on Saturday, December 31, because it snowed here. On Sunday, Jan. 1st, I check car. Here is your list of things that are wrong with the car.......You would know this if your husband did not hang up on me or You did not hang up on my wife........

* Household carpeting
* Powersteering does not work
* Radiator leaks
* Car full of bondo (could of tried to hide it if you sanded the car down)
* No electricals in car, two headlights that is it
* No taillights, No brake lights, No signal lights, No high beams, No gauges, No dash lights work - You told me that the car was rewired
* Has half an exhaust, The ad said new exhaust - my wife doesn't know cars but I do, the car has mufflers, but has no over axle or tailpipes. That exhaust is not legal in any state.
* The rearend is an open rearend. Not a suregrip as represented per our telephone conversation. Anyone who knows cars would know that all you have to do is jack up the rearend and spin the tire with your hand, One tire spins it is open, if both tires spin its posi. Thats how I know it is an open rear.
* The car don't run because the carb, fuel filter and gas tank are all clogged up with rust from the gas tank. Thats why car don't run. You told Dennis, the other disgruntled buyer, that you had to change the carb because of rust in the gas tank. Yet you failed to tell me.
* The wiring for the ignition is ran with speaker wire, hacked into the coil, battery and starter with some kind of relay switch all taped together into a ball. The wires run outside the firewall, between the fender, across the dash to a toggle switch and push button bypassing wiring blocks on the firewall.

This is all documented and photographed, given to my attorney, local police department and as soon as Ann Cox from the phenix city, Alabama police department gets back to me, we will attempt to send it all to her.

Why would I waste all my time and phone bill, if I did not feel I was right and misled. As far as the comment that this would be a nice car, It would be if you have 10 - 12 thousand to put into it. If I was looking to spend the extra 12 thousand, I would of bought a 18 thousand dollar car. I am not looking for a mint car but I did not expect to be mislead or lied to.

If I missed anything I will send another post.

As far as paperwork goes, I received a hand written bill of sale today. On printer paper, which is not legal documentation in the state of Connecticut. I did tell the seller I needed bill of sale, title or copy of registration. Bill of sale can be printed out from the local DMV website or you can go down to your local DMV and get one. This was told to seller. As for the title or copy of registration I still have not received. I understand that with an older car you don't need the title but I need two pieces of documentation for registration purposes. This was also told to seller. You have two weeks to get me the proper paperwork because in Connecticut all cars must have a tag on them whether they are driven or not.

As far as the title goes, he's right. In Alabama, the State has never titled vehicles older than 1975 model year. A bill of sale is all that goes in Alabama for older vehicles.

If your State wants a title, you're out of luck. Here's what I publish when I sell vehicles older than 1975:

The Code of Alabama 1975, Section 32-8-30(a) reads:

(a) Except as provided in Section 32-8-31, every owner of a motor vehicle designated a 1975 year model, and all models subsequent thereto which is in this state and which is required to be registered under the motor vehicle laws of this state and for which no certificate of title has been issued by the department, shall make application to a designated agent as herein defined for a certificate of title to the vehicle.

I'm not taking sides on this one anymore. I'll just lend some information to clarify some points.

If this seller is in Alabama, I know some very good attorneys.

tony1963  (419 ) View Listings | Report Jan-04-06 19:35 PST 168 of 281
In Georgia, the title is issued only for 1986 and newer vehicles unless certain restrictions exist.

Vehicle Title Optional

You can title a 1963-1985 year model vehicle if you have a title issued in your name.
You can title a 1963-1985 year model vehicle if the owner on the front of the title has assigned the title to you.
You can title a 1963-1985 year model vehicle if the owner on the front of the title has assigned the title to a dealer and the dealer has assigned the title to you.
A title will not be issued for a 1963-1985 year model vehicle if the vehicle has been registered in someone else's name(s) other than the owner(s) shown on the face of the Georgia title.

Don't get smart with me marron. You can cry all day long here but you are probably totally out of luck.

Just because the vehicle has Georgia tags means NOTHING. If the sale occurred in Alabama, it's an Alabama sale.

Go fish.

If Alabammy don't require a title on older cars, there goes any possible protection policy insurance claim.

I would call the police and have a VIN check done ASAP! It it does turn out to be stolen the ins should cover that..

Personally i think any car should have a title.. Alabama not requiring one opens the door for anyone to sell something like that without any real valid proof of ownership.. Talk about back woods hillbilly government! :(

Just a brief note cause I am at work. I understand that Alabama has separate rules than Connecticut but as part of the sale of this motor vehicle, we told the seller these were items we needed for Connecticut DMV. They told us they would send them to us.
Like I said before we were mislead to believe this car was in better working condition, etc and we would get the proper paperwork we asked for. Just like the car we were misrepresented and they lied, they are doing the same with the title or registration.
This is not only about the paperwork.

marronwife made the claim on 12;30 @19:12 sleers sells car parts and junk and misrepresents items yet they didnt recieve the car until 12-31. on 12-30 references made to me and another member as if thats my alter ego, says i have alot of items for sale, spray paint by a can, item misrepresented badly, on 1-1 says one of my accts is suspended,1-1 also states no paperwork recieved,on 1-2 they state they can buy a decal for 300 bucks and made a bee clone, somewhere i also read the statement we know cars, on 1-2 states grren grass carpet, on 1-2 states several ebay accts, car has no mufflers, car starts with a toggle switch, and have made numerous statements on no reply from me but once i respond and say im contacting the member mopar3401 they respond with this that they contacted him today and has nothing to do with me, and that the car doesnt run leaks fluid etc. they state they got a phone call from me on 1-3 and states my wife doesnt know cars, theyve contradicted themselves in everything they say, where is my other acct. my acct is not suspended, was aware it had cheap paint job, they have recieved bill of sale, if there willing to pay 300 for a decal there nuts, first of all they said it doesnt have new carpet then it does but its household carpet, then its green grass carpet but they agree its new, and it is new new black shag carpet, they said the car doesnt run, then how does it start with a toggle switch as they state, it does have exhaust, they have recieved paperwork, and if its leaking out of radiator hows that possible? it was on a transport truck 3 days if it was leaking it would have been empty when it got there, or if its leaking when its running a leak maybe be seen but remember they state it wont run, he says wiring wasnt redone, but says wires were taped etc. so somebody must have done something to them, they were working when they left here. they keep refering to phone calls i supposively made are they mad about the car sell or these calls theyve recieved supposively from me and if i wont return there phone calls like they say how do they keep saying i keep calling? where is my other acct. where is my suspended acct? what they keep refering to me scamming people is i would not return there nonrefundable deposits after they didnt buy, my ad states as many do on ebay my terms of sale and also 500 nonrefundable deposit, so i have not scammed anyone, people take these cars and rebuild them as far as not knowing if car had flood damage etc as they state, its not a new vehicle you cant get a carfax report, im sure most 50% of restored cars were at one time what would be considered totalled out by a insurance company. the car is not stolen, no id has been switched let your police dept run the numbers and inspect it, and stop making references to things that have nothing to do with you or your car sell,

Second, you can forget about mopar3401 because I admitted that was a mistake. You were the one to tell us that you had several accounts. That's what I put in this message board what you had told us. Oh I forgot you must be bipolar since now it wasn't you.

You told us on the phone on December 16th that you would send us a bill of sale from the DMV, the title and copy of registration. You have not done that, again told us what we wanted to hear and lied.
You did not tell me that you were contacting Mopar3401 and that is not why we replied. Some of us work for a living, that's why I did not reply right away. By the way we did not contact Mopar3401, he called us. What I said was I spoke to mopar3401 today, learn how to read and comprehend.

This post is getting old. The two of you need to moderate this discussion in a private setting. Marronwife, you're beginning to look silly coming here trying to smear this person.

There is probably a very reasonable solution here if you stop trying to be "dead right" on every point. It's an old car and you have valid concerns.

Try taking this discussion out of the "court of public opinion" where you will accomplish NOTHING.

Did manage to make money, though. Must be my sparkling personality.

I've had many people try to buy the Suburban. When I take it down to the shop, everyone wants to know if it is for sale.

I bought it locally and it was in great condition. I had the entire truck repainted a few years ago because the original lacquer was getting thin.

For 21 years old, it is in better condition than most 5 year old trucks. Can't beat it for towing.

A couple of buddies and I lived in a rented house in college. On the back of the property were a number of old cars, including a Prefect, a 40 Ford coupe (with the rear quarter windows filled in to make it a 3-window) and a Model T 2 dr sedan. There were other cars, too, but I don't remember what they were. I do remember that those three cars were definitely salvageable (this was in the mid-70s) but the owner would not sell, and had no plans to do anything with them either. They were his and he was going to let them rot into the ground.

Reminds me of a story....
I sold a company a few years back. They gave me 90% of the money with the balance due in 60 days. When we were doing up the contract (THESE WERE ATTORNEYS) I asked them if they wanted the TOLL FREE number that I had been using for about 5 years. They said "NO". I asked them again "ARE YOU SURE?" I showed them proof that the number got an awful lot of activity, there was no charge I was giving them the number, but they would have to pay the $24 bucks a month it cost to have it. They said "NO". I said "OK"...

I might also add that I signed a non compete with my sale of the company.

60 days later when the 10% balance was due they decided to try to cheat me out of it. Refused to pay! Since they were attorneys they thought they could get away with it.

Since they broke their agreement with me, I broke mine with them. I took and pointed that toll free number right back to my phone. Opened another business up and started doing business again. They were so cheap they were passing my old business cards and invoices out with that phone number and making my business phone ring!

Stupid attorneys! They lasted about another 6 months and had to close the doors. NO BUSINESS! My phone continued to ring.

Whatever happened to the good ole handshake way of business? Each person did what the said they would do and everyone rested at night. I gave up that same toll free number a couple years ago when I decided to stop towing for the public. It is now a toll free SEX LINE NUMBER!;)

That reminds me of another story!! The Secretary of State here in Oklahoma has had a special 900 number that you could call and for $5.00 get corporate information about a company that is incorporated here in Oklahoma.
They decided to do away with that a few months back. That phone number was later given to one of those PAY AS YOU PLAY SEX LINE NUMBERS. There are still many websites and publications around with this number showing it belongs to The Oklahoma Secretary of State. :O

I had an idea a few years back to do 900 number towing. Call my 900 number from anywhere in the city and I would tow your car for a flat rate charge to be billed to your home phone bill. This would be for people that were short on cash and needed the service. The charge would be billed to their phone bill.... I never implimented it... Wonder what would have happened if I did? I scare myself sometimes! X-(

First, upload them to a free web site like; https://photobucket.com/

Then post them by using this, [img src=picturesURLhere]

As shown, put the URL for your picture where it states "picturesURLhere"

You can copy and paste that line, then copy and paste your pictures URL into it removing the words picturesURLhere as you do it.

You have to change the brackets to the right and left arrows pointing out at each end.
We can not post it as it should be, it will not show with the arrows.

"This listing (4598109235) has been removed by eBay. This is what the item number will say, it was removed by ebay after I already purchased the car."

Yet, when one searches that number, it's for the 69 Coronet alright, but it received only a $100 bid and reserve was not met, with auction ending on December 16.

marronwife, did you win the Coronet with the highest bid, or did you make a deal off ebay after the auction closed?

It is best if this one fades off into the sunset never to be heard of again.

Defamation? Come on Tony, even you should realize that defamation involves saying something that isn't true. If we assume that these pics are all actual pics of the car, that site doesn't even begin to touch on defamtion. If a guy robbed a bank and killed 10 people, you tell someone that he robbed a bank and killed 10 people, that is not defamation, it's called the truth and there is no law against telling the truth. Besides, whoever made that site was pretty darn smart, the only thing showing Stanley's identity was the auction that Stanley posted himself, is Stanley going to sue himself Tony? Come on, try to make sense with just one post, please?

What Tony said is true. You haven't asked for any resolution to this issue or is the only resolution that you seek is to see the Cuda guy banished from society?
What could he/you do to end this problem.
And! I'm not favoring you or him. I was trying to get both sides here, together, to get your problem solved.
This Century guy, is he a friend? Your lawyer? Why didn't he inspect the vehicle before you bought it? He stated he lives close to the seller.

hey, amagine all this wondering about this 69 super bee clone. I am one who lost 500.00 on this car. It`s pretty much as marranwife claims -totally misrepresented. For starters every body part was dented with large dents not dings. Drivers door look`s like it was a backstop at a ball game left fender was in the same condition. Both quarter panel are in same condition left one was better than the right. Right side had soccer ball size dents. Bottom right quarter smashed in against trunk extension panel and bondoed up. underside was covered with wal-mart rubberized undercoating. It was covering up rust holes in trunf ext. panels rust holes were in the trunk pan. Dents were in the trunk lid some were dented in some were dented out looked like it had stalagtites. The roof was dented in along with deep rust pit holes passenger door looked pretty good door lock was out of it.Right fender had a big dent in the top about the size of that same soccerball. Hood had a dig dent between the two scoops. The car was indeed wired with speaker wire from starter to a toggle switch then to a push button starter switch. I didn`t check the lights. Carpet was gold house carpet not for a car. The seller said it had rust in the fuel tank and would make the car stallout so he put a inline filter on it and it was there. The rear end has a 8 3/4 housing probably a 489 case but was not a suregrip as stated in the listing drivers side floorpan was fiberglass patched at drivers feet. Surrounding area was pretty soft. Did I mention Rust holes in the trunk floor? It had a duel exaust that went over axle and out the back. It had an electronic ignition conversion and started pretty easy and I put it in reverse and the rearend went PING so I new the pinion bearing was bad. When I got to Phenix city Ifilled the truck up with gas and found my axle bearing on my trailer had went out. I then went to see the car after viewing this archive I asked to see the title so I could match the vin # The seller could not produce such document at the time. So I said I would not finalize the sale till I came back on Sunday so I could fix my trailer and he could find the title. I was there on thursday 12-15-05. Before I got back I recieved a call from sellers wife. Crying about Stanly going to kill her or something that he sold the car to marronwife and ripped me off the 500.00 bucks I put down on car and please don`t blame her and gave me alot of information about other buyers that have been scammed by Stanley. Well after trying to get my Money back from him he said no. After trying to get my money back thru paypal they said no. So I`m out my 500.00 bucks for now. Well that`s the truth to that story. It would not suprize me if the exaust and the ignition system were switched before shipping because if the shipper was going to steal the exaust pipes why did he bother to replace it with something else? I mean a thief is a thief RIGHT STANLEY AND KATRINA I will see you two real soon.......

Why would you want to go as far as look at the title and match #'s if the car is as shot as you say???

"It had an electronic ignition conversion" yeah so, thats very common these days.

"So I said I would not finalize the sale " beg my roal pardon but somethings wrong with this picture,

After seeing this junker (as you say) you were going to finalize the sale???????????

I have got to get away from this board, the worlds upside down, unreal!!!!!!!!!

Hey Dennis, thanks for chiming in. Some of the people on this board were acting as if Marronwife was out of her mind. I have been indirectly involved with this sale starting at when Stanley's wife called and gave up his other ID's and admitted what he was doing. I live very close to Stanley and will make it my duty to watch what he's up to. I assure everyone here, if I see Stanley showing another car at his lot, that perspective buyer and I will have a chat as soon as they leave, they will be shown photo's, police reports etc. I promise, it will not be so easy for him to do this to anyone again. Heck, If I'm feeling particularly feisty one day I may even show up outside his shop with a big old sign in my hands. Stanley, I look forward to meeting soon. By the way, I know first hand that Marronwife tried a resolution with the seller, instead she received a "it's yours now, deal with it" on their answering machine. Therefore, the attempted one on one resolution failed, I see this forum as more of an attempt to inform other people who may have thought about dealing with Stan the Man.

P.S. Look at the auction, remember the sob story about needing to sell the car to be able to buy christmas presents for his kids? Incorrectomundo my friends, as soon as the check cleared, Stanley was driving to Texas to buy a truck. I wonder what his kids got, a roll of speaker wire and a shiny new push button starter for their bigwheels?

Cyrus Jones 1810 to 1913
Made his great grandchildren believe
you can live to 103
and a hundred and three is forever when you’re just a little kid
so, Cyrus Jones lived forever

{Chorus:}
Grave digger
When you dig my grave
could you make it shallow
so that I can feel the rain
grave digger

Muriel Stonewall 1903 to 1954
She lost both of her babies in the second great war
now, you should never have to watch your only children lowered in the ground
I mean - you should never have to bury your own babies

{Chorus}

Ring around the rosey
Pocket full of posey
Ashes to ashes
{musical intro}
We all fall down

{Chorus}

Little Mikey Carson '67 to '75
He rode his bike like the devil until the day he died
When he grows up he wants to be Mr. Vertigo on the flying trapeze
Oh, 1940 to 1992--

{Chorus}
{Chorus}

Grave digger
Grave digger

first of all dennisj you are full of shit, you are mad because you backed out of sale, and you lost your 500 nonrefundable deposit, all the things you said in your post are what marronwife told you how come marronwife has said nothing about soccer size dents, dennis you never asked for a title, id never say i was looking for it there isnt one, you were told before you bought car were a nontitle state, why would you still want to buy it if it was so bad? you never said anything about trailer being tore up or nothing, you see eveyone here has a motive, marronwife mad because didnt get a show car, dennisj mad lost 500 deposit and is now a nonpaying bidder, dart440 who knows who the heck he is, and marronwife im sorry that the ad doesnt say anything about inspection but i was wrong it was the first time i listed it it did 4596564715 you knew i had just relisted it, you could have easily looked at that ad. marronwife do you not remember calling me before transport got here and telling me that you were worried about dennis coming to get the car, you told me he told you that he had all the paperwork for the car and he was coming to get it? remeber my response come hell or high water? if i have to ill park it somewhere else while im closed at night. remember we both come to the conclusion that if he had paperwork it was false and came from george using my acct? now youve got dennis wrapped around your finger. now if you have ME recorded than replay your tapes and get the truth! and century9055 if your so smart and youre coming up to tell me off why aint you been here? and you must not know me or if you do thats why you havent set foot on my property. dennis like others said whats your connection to marronwife. dennis, lets look at his feedback have you ever had a transaction on ebay other than this? where does it ever say in the ad sure grip rearend? where are my other accts? other ids? dart are you the but that started all this? alias candeelux? dennis you stated in your post you were coming back sunday to get car, before you could though i called you crying and such, huh! that would have meant i called you on the 16th or 17th because sunday was the 18th why did i supposively not call marronwife til the 19th with the same story. marronwife i think you trying to get dennis in this kinda backfired on you. dennis your story is full of holes and bull, dart if you live near here and now what the conversation said they who are you, exactly who you are is a friend of marronwife who you just started a acct yesterday just to weigh in on marronwife side.this gets stupier and stupider by the day. TONY you are great . WANDRN you are so kind as to let me in on this. and everyone else other than these 2 can kiss mine.

Dennis if your trailer tore up as you said you mean you drove it back to fla. 400+ miles before you fixed it. come on. dont use stupid excuses when you only make yourself look dumber.

where does it ever say the car has elctronic ignition? where does it say positive traction? there are pictures on ad where frame rail shots are, anyone can see theres no tailpipes. it has new exhaust. as far as tailpipes, this is a hotrod, everyone who buys aftermarket custom exhaust its to there specs. so dont dare say it doesnt have new exhaust because it doesnt have tailpipes. it has turndowns in front of rear axle and thats how i wanted it. thanks to the one who admitted i was in texas buying a truck, thats just more proof for myself i didnt call marronwife on 12-19. boy your posts really blew a hole in marronwifes story. WHERE ARE MY OTHER ACCTS? WHERE ARE THE JUNK CAR PARTS I SELL? You filed with square trade only to be a mediator, you didnt want to spend the $20 or so bucks to get them to deep involved though now did ya?i closed that and with the response tired of this sh!! and marronwife you claim we wouldnt return phone calls well you make so many references to the fact of conversations weve had, and i mean real conversations with me not someone else posing as me. that by keeping this going your incriminating yourself more.

first of all cuda you gaved me dennis number on my recordings thankyou very much for those.and you told me that dennis wants the car and you were going to hide ,you should have left it out front for the garbage men to take.as far as the car carrier yeah i had to make sure it got on the carrier so i woulnt be out 6500 and a car. nice reply to square trade , not particpating because "tired of this sh**" thats a great one. my pics tell the story of misrepresentation. read your ad,no rot or rust in usual places, gee i found alot of it. like i said if it is not you on those rcordings then you wont have a problem with me putting up an audio link for everyone to hear.

marronwife  (89 ) View Listings | Report Jan-07-06 07:54 PST 284 of 295
you told me in the phone before i hit bin, 355 sure grip. first of all square trade is not a judge or jury and you could stil back out at anytime. they are not a court of law, and cant enforce anything, thats whyi didnt spend the money on something that cant be enforced.

so dennis your saying you pulled the carpet out of the car here and seen holes in the floor pans? huh interesting. funny marronwife has been so descriptive in there definitions as to whats wrong with car but it doesnt match yours. if you inspected it so well why didnt you check the headlights, truth is you never drove it down the road you said you couldnt come up with all the money and wanted me to lower the price. thats the truth. and with yopu sitting here i put it back in my shop and closed the door on you. you were told the carb was having problems because it wasnt running right and we changed it,look compare pictures and see if we can see carb in ad and carb in marronwife pict. the truth of this matter is i didnt lie i didnt mislead. the car has has new capet, new exhaust 4 barrell 440 motor 727 trans, wiring had been redone, as far as electronic ignition or positive traction these i said nothing about the car has everything i said it does and made no claim to anything else. if these things arent to there specs. oh well! my pictures show everything down to the rearend and frame rails, oh i also stated brake work done, new shocks, i guess i lied about those to.the car has everything i said. and you goy a darn good deal.

as far as the other listing # they are the same pics on that one, they show a pic of a rot hole in the drivers floor, it says click image to enlarge, click on it and it actually makes picture smaller i wonder why that is. you tried to fix it with some kind of fiberglass, thats not a fix its a cover up, floor is still soft and needs to be replaced. look at my pics not yours. up close pics not from 30 feet away.

This is getting thick and I would again advise the two of you to resolve this in private.

tony this is a civil case and if they want to waste there time come to alabama spend days filing paperwork come back to alabama for every court appearance and in the end, still end up without a judgement, against me, and out alot more money, then they should come on. you know i didnt claimithad a electronic ignition and theyre buying a brand new one on ebay for around $150 and expect me to pay for stuff like that there crazy, theres nothing wrong with the one in it, second a aluminum waterpump? didnt claim it had one, and water pumps are 19.99 all day long at autozone. no they want to restore the car at my expense. its got a new alternator, im sure theyll find a problem and want a chrome plated one, at my expense oh yea, forgot to put that in the ad, new alternator, ive got 4 posts left for the day and a few more hours and ill be away from this thing they call a computer i call a headache and ill be gone til monday, ill love to see whats said while im gone, did they ever say there was a problem with the waterpump in there claims above, i dont remember one but, i guess theyll add that now, i thought it was the power steering pump was bad? huh figures, when you lie its hard to keep the stories straight.

This is Chris' wife now, Katrina you are so full of crap. We have answered all questions asked. You are just asking questions away from the fact that you lied to us and mislead us to purchase this car. Our pictures tell the whole story and by the way if and when we have to file a civil complaint you will be paying for that as well. If you look into any civil matter that is brought forward, the defendant when they lose the case pays for all court cost and also our time and money lost because of missed work. And by the way we make a lot of money. I would think that it is best for you to give us a call and make a deal. We are not asking for a lot. We just want what is owed to us. You made a sour deal and got caught.
We said nothing about the water pump, never claimed there was anything wrong with it. It is the power steering pump and much more as you can see by our posts and pics.
You get the story straight. And as for your account being suspended when we started this thread no one could access your account. Explain that one, Oh I know, someone compromised your account, which I know is true because candelux told us a few days ago. You keep burning your bridges and we could always help in this matter but unfortunately you are acting like a child.
A straight apology and partial refund can make this all go away.
