It Appears This Is An Organized Fraud Attempt! The Nigerians End eBay Buy Now Listings And Try To Send The Seller A Bogus Cashiers Check For Over The Purchase Price, Then They Request The Seller Wire The Difference To Their Shipper By Western Union! They Never Pick Up The Item, And When The Bogus Check Comes Bouncing Back In A Week Or Two, The Seller Is Out The Money He Wired To The Scammer! Usually A Couple Of Thousand Dollars!
Note That Only 4 Out Of 10 Accounts Have Been Used So Far Today! But It Is Still Early, 10:00 AM EST. I Am Sure Before The Day Is Out The Rest Of These ID's Will Be Used! And Keeping The Number Of Purchases Won Per ID Low, Helps Keep Suspicion Low! The Chances Of eBay Doing A User Id Search That I Have Done Is Slim, Someone Reports A Bogus Bidder eBay Just Suspends That User! Leaving The Rest To Wreak Havoc On The Community!
My Cat Can Register An Acct On eBay! They Don't Verify Anything! It Is All About Collecting Fees! A Victim Seller Posted One Of These ID's On The eBay Motors Message Board This Morning, I Ran The Search And Posted My Findings For Him, But eBay Pulled The Thread As Usual!
