I don't know how many of you are getting email notifications of new post replies here, and still have the same email addresses. But one of our good friends has been given a very unfair eBay Indefinite Board Suspension.

This is the thanks the ePig gives one of their best members that for years has devoted her time and effort to answer questions from other members on various subjects. The fact remains that eBay is still infested with scammers and sleazy sellers selling fake purses and other merchandise.

eBay has enacted Hitler like tactics to shoot the messenger regarding posting of fraudulent items on their boards. Members are no longer allowed to post eBay item numbers on the boards asking advice if the item is real or not, and are suspending anyone that violates the policy.

In a message dated 2/16/2010 5:13:03 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, ModerationTeam@ebay.com writes:
Hello postingid4me2*,

This email is to notify you that we are revoking all privileges for posting in
all eBay Community areas for an indefinite period of time. The specific reason
is one or more violations of the following policy:

Enabling, encouraging, or instructing others to leave eBay so that they can
sell, buy, or participate in community functions on non-eBay websites that
include the sale of merchandise, auctions, and services, such as off-eBay
forums, off-eBay groups, and so on.

Although we always hope to avoid issuing an indefinite Community sanction, the
following are some examples of situations where we find this action to be necessary:

- Continued violations of Board Usage Policy despite previous temporary sanctions
- Egregious violations of policy or posting with an inappropriate User ID
- Circumvention of a current board sanction

A board sanction does not prohibit you from otherwise using the eBay site to bid
and list, etc. However, it is very important that you do not use an alternate
User ID to post on or sign into any one of eBay's Community areas (including
Discussion Boards, Groups,Answer Center and Chat boards). Doing so is a
violation of the terms of this sanction, the Board Usage Policy, and the eBay
User Agreement. Any such violation can lead to the full suspension of this
account (and any related accounts) which revokes the ability to bid, list, or
use the eBay site in any way. This prohibition includes using the accounts of
family members, co-workers, or others to whose accounts you may have access.

Upon request, your indefinite sanction may be reviewed. Please write to
sanction-appeal@ebay.com once 90 days have passed from the date your sanction
was received. Before you appeal, we respectfully request that you review the
Board Usage Policy and policy explanations via the following URLs:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/eve ... oards.html
http://forums.ebay.com/forum.jspa?forumID=2005

Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this important matter.

I hope some agressive lawyer files a big class action suit against eBay for wrecking good sellers lives!

While a class action would not net the sellers much - a good attorney would sure drive it right up Donahoes Ass!

Screw eBay! :angry4:

FINALLY here is the solution in case you was suspended, blocked or banned from email. Register again under the a different name, address, cc, phone, etc... I need Doc post my full history with real docs and real screenames as proof Ebay is tolerating fraud in top Executive Administrative levels:

I will be happy to post my history in your website Doc Ebay truncated my dream to buy and sell on Ebay before i can grow to a power seller. Since 2005 i accumulated documents that proofs Ebay is violating US and International Privacy rights according to http://www.privacyinternational.org and http://truste.org leaving a big hole for a “massive class action suit” for suspended members.
After i purchased a junk laptop for around $300.xx S&H included US dollars from a Canadian seller that later refused to compensate me or accept me a return i decided to file a complaint both Ebay and Paypal. I wasn’t able to use, fix or resell this junk (i was suspended by that time) but before 30 days i contacted my local bank filing a complaint as recommended in my local bank 30 days later i received my money back all intact… Later for more than 6 months later Trust and Safety Department comes to a resolution I owe now to Ebay $300 US dollars so i decided to keep laptop in order to pay later those fees. Anyway how can you pay two times for an item that is trash???? Ebay wants to force me to pay but this never happens until later… After 1-2 years I created a second account on ebay an account where I sold that same laptop for 180.XX USD but Ebay also suspended this 2nd account linked to the first they said. Ebay in a friendly move drop my fees from $300 to $120 then it was time to pay… so i paid $120 but the only way was using a check by email, my paypal was blocked, my credit card was blocked also, etc. Then what do you think it will happen? My account with balance 7+ 100% (for the second time) drop to zero fees finally… but you wont believe what happen later they send me back a refund for $120. During 30 days i was sending emails to Ebay about submitting a report to the police when they don't gave me back my account "reinstate my account" or at least delete me entirely from their site after all i paid $120 to clean my account of my debts and buy and sell again, all i want is my personal details out entirely from Ebay servers in the worst scenario. After this incident they refused to unblock my account and i got the same similar messages as everyone did:

Yes there will be class action suit. Personal Information of suspended

This is another email i got from customer service inviting me to fight in a legal forum again:

Dear xxxxxxxx,

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to the suspension of your account.

You have been given our legal departments address several times. Any
further emails sent to this address may not be answered.

Thank you for your time.

This is a buyers side of the history the consequences are always the same get suspended and blocked from Ebay for life this is the way they wash their hands about fraud. Anyway now i want my personal data, bank, credit cards, addresses, etc out of Ebay servers as you know they keep you as a “member” unable to delete your account in order to avoid a new re-registrations of this banned members a trick can be used against them in a class action suit… yes! finally a solution. They’re in clear violation of your privacy rights when they commit data retention of your personal details after you are not a “member” anymore as Blocked or Suspended this is a THEFT from Ebay it’s illegal they know it and now we know it…

If you wanna get em I'm sure there's a way to push that what you really got were 2 complaints not hundred. Sometimes I don't know if it's worth it though.

You can meet some really nice people and I've made a lot of friends but I sometimes wonder if it's worth it. Seems like just talking on the boards and buying ar the best way to go. Not much someone can really do to punish a buyer. Lets face it if you have a 10 fb you can buy anything you want and talk all you want. Like someone won't sell you something because you're low fb if you fork over the money.

Remember the fender flare guy who was pissed at mainedog? He sent me an email today. Some of his crabbiness may have been caused by family illness. Anyway, he apologized to me if he'd come off like an ass. People always seem to apologize to me. Bluenova does it all the time. He gets a few in him and then he apologizes if he thinks he said something kinda rude. There's a few others that have done so too. I think it's funny since I get offended by almost nothing!

Post by JR » Mon Mar 13, 2006 11:45 pm

Sorry to hear that. It's really sad when someone screws with someone elses livelyhood.

You just gave me an education on spam and I hate spam. I thought that if one can find out who the spammers are, one can sue them and also have them arrested, providing they live in a country that will prosecute.

Any chance of tracking them down? Probably from another country.

Post by turtle-clan » Mon Mar 13, 2006 9:47 am

Good Morning everyone.
I sure got educated this weekend after many hours on the phone.
It seems there is an e-mail program out that hooked me.
This thing uses as many as 500 e-mail addys, on one account.
Each time you send it uses a different addy, making it look like e-mails from different people.
I got flooded with e-mails. Ebay got flooded with e-mails.
I finally got in touch with someone who knew what they were doing.
After they reviewed the e-mails, it seems there was two different senders that caused this problem.
I had been reported 400 times in a 24 hour period.
That in turn, makes me a liability for ebay.
The easiest way to handle that is get rid of me, therefore I am no longer a liability.
I have no hard feelings towards ebay, they were suckered just as I was.
I will accept my suspension and go on.
As I stated on a thread over on the other board, I forgive, I don't forget.
The diesel account is already suspended.
The turtle account will be after this auction.
I had a good run and enjoyed myself.
It used to be really good over there, I will always have those good memories of what used to be.
I apologize for bothering everyone with my problems.
Sometimes it really feels good just to get it off your chest.
JR. Sharon, Thanks a million.

Post by MidoriMeadows » Sun Mar 12, 2006 10:51 pm

That's so low, you know, just because you disagree with someone it's wrong to go hunt down their auctions. Flame em if you wanna but messing with bus. is really wrong. You know you always have your friends here.

Post by JR » Sun Mar 12, 2006 5:19 pm

And I bet those are the nice words you have for the troll.

I had thought about selling on eBay again for several months. Again, would not use PP. After watching and reading about all the scamming that has been taking place, decided against it. Also, everytime I post, I get a ton of spam.

It's one sorry damn place, always got some SOB trying to screw ya, but haven't had the troll problem. There does seem to be quite a few on the site and eBay does put more effort in screwing with honest people.

JR

:compress:

Post by turtle-clan » Sun Mar 12, 2006 4:26 pm

Sharon, as long as I have my friends over here it really doesn't matter.

Oh I know very well who one of my trolls is. That SOB needs someone to crap in his well and shoot his cat. He is one miserable SOB.
I don't need to mention names, he knows who he is.

I was gonna say I hoped his balls fell off, then I got to thinking. Someone like that doesn't have any. They hide behind a computer and do their dirty work.

Post by MidoriMeadows » Sun Mar 12, 2006 4:04 pm

Ummmm. I thought PP was supposed to be a payment method for other things besides ebay. I sell through my website and get payment through pp. For a while I had a guy ordering about $200 every 3-6 weeks that never went through ebay although that's where he found me. I know that's small potatoes compared to a vehicle but it's probably happened to me more often than to you.

I'm sure their problem is that you aren't paying the sale fee just the listing fee. Your sale fee is big enough that they care. They don't pay attention to my stuff because an individual piece is generally under $20 with most being around $10. FVF on that is small.

I don't see how you coulda picked up a troll. You're always really nice. Now T, I always wonder why he doesn't have constant troll problems. He seems to affect all in a negative way.

Funny how ebay has time to hunt down honest sellers but can't seem to get those NARU auctions down. Course they also have the money to pay deadworld to slap our posts too!

Gonna work on my shopping cart while I'm training my replacement. Once she gets rolling I just have to be around. Then I won't give a shit about what ebay does to me.

I'm sorry they're hassling you so much.

Post by turtle-clan » Sun Mar 12, 2006 3:12 pm

Sharon, my problem is a little different.
It seems I am being overly reported for "Abusing the system" or so they call it.

What it all boils down to is, I have been selling off referrals from other buyers.
To put it in better terms, selling to dealers who don't want a paper trail.

I have lots of customers who pay through pay pal, without an auction number.
Big Red Flag pops up. We know who owns pay pal.

Ending auctions early is the most reported thing.
There is nothing in Ebay rules that states, you must let the auction run the full time alotted.

When a troll gets mad at you, hang on you are in trouble.

Just an opinion, I think the same thing happened to our beloved Doc.
He was just another victim, that the trolls took down.

Post by MidoriMeadows » Sun Mar 12, 2006 2:46 pm

Why is it they go after the greatest sellers? Lately, I've been thinking I need to be a little nicer. Until I get some stuff taken care of I need my ebay income. I've really been trying to tone down my sarcasm about ebay. Which pretty much leaves me talking about sex. Oh well. At least they'll probably just slap me around on the boards once in a while for that. Leaves me feeling rather shallow though.

I don't think ebay wants the honest ones. They expend a lot of energy assisting certain PS on the regular part of ebay that have poor service and are dishonest. Level playing field my ass. I still remember the PS who was highlighted in one of their feel good newsletters a couple years ago. When a lot of sellers started looking at his auctions they realized he was shilling all over the place. I think that was the last article they did. After about a year the highlight articles reappeared but generally they're about regular sellers who are handicapped or in some other disadvantaged group. Ummm sorta embarrasing when someone who's supposed to be a top seller is doing bad stuff.

Post by turtle-clan » Sun Mar 12, 2006 2:27 pm

Doc, sorta looks like I will be the next to get the hatchet.
One account has already been blocked from selling.
The turtle account will be next.

I wish I could post my true feelings, but I am just trying to keep myself together right now.
I keep telling myself, "what goes around comes around".

A lot of bitter people in the world right now.

Could try that Doc. I do not use PayPal and have no intention of using it. I do have one item that will need to go on eBay, to get the exposure and money I want out of it.

It's been really hard for me to get motivated to sell on eBay again. Usually the classic car items I sell, sell out at the local swap meet in April. My friend and I pay $15.00 for a spot, spend 8 hours selling, plus take a look around. We're going to do it again this year. After that, I will probably sell on the internet again.

Keep us informed on what you plan on doing.

JR, Why don't we start a for sale forum here? You could post stuff for sale. Might even cook up another site for selling, My webhost has a free php shopping cart i could install that is set up for PayPal. Not sure how it works but i will look into it. Also Ioffer.com is a good place to sell small items.
